About the role


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Quantitative Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience working in data analytics, consulting, data science, engineering, or a technical operations role.
  • 1 year of experience in statistical problem-solving and analyzing data sets using SQL or comparable coding language (e.g., Python, R, Java, C++).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, etc.).
  • Experience with designing experiments, developing statistical models, measurement, and identifying business opportunities.
  • Experience in data analysis, with the ability to solve problems in complex, fast-moving, and ambiguous business environments through solid data intuition and business acumen.
  • Ability to effectively communicate analysis and recommendations across a wide range of non-technical audiences.

This role sits within the Data, Measurement and Privacy team in the Americas, which focuses on ensuring Google's sales and product teams are equipped to manage data and measurement sales in a rapidly changing privacy environment. As the Strategy and Operations Analyst, you will help our leaders make informed decisions to execute efficiently and effectively. Your entrepreneurial mindset will help ensure we bring effective measurement and technological solutions to our customers in the context of rapidly shifting privacy demands.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $93,000-$136,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Draw insights to inform Data, Measurement and Privacy focused business initiatives through analytical work to inform future product development and shape activation strategies, bringing together disparate data sets where needed.
  • Assist in the research and application of data-driven insights that have a tangible impact on business performance such as business case development and business or industry trend analysis.
  • Guide regional perspective on sales team and product performance in preparation for executive forums.
  • Enable activation by devising product adoption goals with annual and quarterly projections.
  • Develop user-friendly dashboards and/or data tables to enable aspirational goal setting and tracking.
