About the Role The Director of Information Technology provides strategic leadership, vision, planning, and management to all areas of Corporate IT. The Director will develop and oversee appropriate policies, procedures, services, and facilities. The Director will work collaboratively with the VP, Corporate IT and Compliance and other leadership to develop effective strategies for integrating and advancing our technology.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader and mentor. Candidates must have the ability to develop and lead strategic and operational initiatives and will possess exceptional communication, collaboration, project management and customer service skills.

About the Role The Director of Information Technology provides strategic leadership, vision, planning, and management to all areas of Corporate IT. Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, direction and coordination to include implementation of timelines for the programs and activities of information technology, including information technology cost and services, data systems, communications network, non-print media services, and the installation, troubleshooting and repair of any electronic equipment including computers and peripheral equipment.
- Develops strategies, policies and procedures that affect network configuration, server utilization, software licensing, Internet services, and asset management as well as department specific systems for accomplishing the business goals of the Company.
- Partner with leaders to develop solutions to solve business challenges.
- Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision
- Ensures IT department compliance to required standards and frameworks such as: NIST Privacy, HIPPA, HiTrust, SOC2, SOX.Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs
- Manages IT staff including recruitment, performance management and evaluations, and professional development
- Provide technology guidance, road maps, principles, standards, and best practices.
- Define and communicate project milestones, service level agreements, and resource allocation to executive team, department leads, support staff, and end users.
- Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
- Authorize and oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support of hardware and software based on department needs.
- Oversee end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.
- Oversee negotiation and administration of vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements.
- Manage IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
- Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s senior leaders, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.
- 10+ years of relevant IT experience
- Minimum 5 years of leading IT Teams and hands-on technical operations
- Prior experience in a hands on technical roles of systems, network, storage and database administration
- Strong experience managing SaaS solutions such as: Gmail, GSuite, Slack, ServiceNow, DropBox
- Strong experience in Windows and Mac operating systems
- Implementation and project management of large-scale technology implementations
- Determine skills of current staff align resources for best fit/future state, staff development/mentorship
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiations
- Establishing and maintaining accountability and adaptability
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Ability to write and present formal documentation
- Recent experience in IT regulation and compliance standards such as SOC 2 NIST, ISO 27001,HIPAA and HiTrust
- Ability to understand complex technical environments
- Strong leadership/supervisory experience
