About the role

The Identity and Network Access Division in Security Is looking for an Executive Business Administrator.  The Identity and Network Access Team is at the core of a huge number of critical Microsoft scenarios and our products and services are key to securing and delivering great user experiences to hundreds of millions of our users. A successful candidate will have demonstrated work experience supporting a senior member of the Leadership Team in a fast-paced environment, planning, organizational and time management skills, flexibility, and the ability to work independently, be comfortable operating with ambiguity, multi-tasking, meeting deadlines, changing direction in rapid response to a fluctuating work environment and prioritize among multiple projects with a dynamically changing workload.   Additionally, the candidate has leadership skills and be able to maintain a cool and focused persona under pressure, maintain professional and positive interactions with others and be able to establish professional relationships and credibility with all internal and external contacts.

Responsibilities

 

  • Calendar management supporting both the team and global team 
  • Coordination and preparation of international travel and site visits  
  • Manage expense reports  
  • Partner closely with the Business Manager and Admin Team on activities in support of the rhythm of business and business strategy        
  • Relationship building skills, maturity, high degree of self-confidence    
  • Ability to react with appropriate urgency to requests   
  • Skills in all aspects of planning, cross-group collaboration, communications 
  • Demonstrated skill of shifting approach in response to the demands of a changing situation    
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and problem-solving skills and following through on issues in a timely manner    
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, navigate uncertain situations, and drive for clarity    
  • Demonstrated leadership skills plus the ability to manage conflict and drive to win-win solutions 
  • Demonstrated capability in verbal and written communications skills across a geographically dispersed audience 
  • Demonstrated respect for other team members, treating them with dignity, allowing for a fail-safe and learning environment, leading the admin community by example

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years Administrative, Business Support, or customer service experience in an environment with an emphasis on scheduling meetings/events, travel management, and administration work for executive/upper level management.

Other Requirements: 

  • The ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Human Resources [HR], Marketing, Communications, Psychology, Sociology)
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience serving as mentor to others.
  • 3+ years experience reviewing and managing administrative budgets (e.g., for events, morale, travel, training)
  • Ability to organize, motivate, and lead the admin community
