Position Summary:
As a member of the plant leadership team, the Sr. Facilities Maintenance Manager will partner with the Site Production Director to drive Facilities and Maintenance operations, processes, programs and budget for the manufacturing and warehouse sites. In addition, the role will oversee equipment maintenance and staff for a 3-shift manufacturing operation. You will be responsible to drive equipment reliability in all facilities and manufacturing equipment through the proper application of Maintenance Systems to include Preventative Maintenance Program, Store Room Management, Kitting, Root Cause Analysis of Failures and Planning and Scheduling Routines. In this role, the Sr. Facilities Maintenance Manager will work closely in the planning, execution, startup and follow up of Engineering Projects including capital project related to equipment for the site. This position is a critical partner in the day-to-day operations functions and therefore leadership and communication skills are key requirement for this role. This role will provide guidance on process improvement initiatives in alignment with TPM principles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead, coach, mentor and develop maintenance team members to foster a strong team culture and encourage ownership of results.
• Establish and control maintenance routines to ensure that Maintenance activities are scheduled and executed timely.
• Lead implementation of all maintenance processes across the sites
• Report, track, and provide input for maintenance budget according to guidelines.
• Delegate tasks, instruct and monitor the performance of department team.
• Identify and implement continuous improvements within the maintenance processes
• Manage, develop, and sustain proper processes and procedures for preventative and repair service, equipment installations, tool and consumables ordering, issue to and return from employees, equipment inspections and repair service contractor activities.
• Proactive in promoting openly and timely communication with Production team regarding potential equipment and compliance issues to minimize downtime.
• Provide appropriate support with the right level of urgency to ensure Production goals are met.
• Assess skill levels for Maintenance personnel and define training plans to close the gaps, as well as monitor training execution and effectiveness.
• Follow all regulatory processes to include proper Hazardous Waste Management as well as OSHA requirements, LOTO and all Safety Leadership requirements.
• Ensure all Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are always followed.
• Create and manager competence building plan for the Maintenance team.
• Support implementation for the pillar processes.
• Lead and provide technical support for troubleshooting and repairs when needed.
• Provide on-call / on-site support for emergency situations.
• Manage and maintain inventory supplies of spare parts as well as other supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience and Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree required, engineering related field strongly preferred.
• 15+ years of proven production or manufacturing maintenance experience in lieu of degree.
• 10+ years of proven leadership/management experience required.
• Knowledge of facilities operations with production environment to include air handlers, HVAC and plumbing.
