Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner | Fredericksburg, VA

Location: Fredericksburg, VA
Status: Full Time
Schedule: 12‑hour shifts during the week with shorter 8 hour shifts on the weekends; standard clinic hours are 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM, Mon - Fri and 8:00 AM - 4:00PM Sat - Sun.  May be required to work occasional holidays.
Compensation: $65-$80/hour (based on experience)  Benefits: Full-benefits package available   SIGN ON BONUS:  $5000.00   Position Summary We are seeking a Full‑Time clinician to join our team in Fredericksburg, VA. • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging
• Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management (as applicable)
• Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
• Code and bill services appropriately
• Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks
• Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values

  Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Virginia license for NP | PA
• Board certification or eligibility, as applicable
  • PA: NCCPA certification
  • NP: ANCC or AANP certification (FNP required)
• Active DEA license (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to treat patients of all ages
• Active BLS certification
• EHR proficiency
• Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays
• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered)

  Preferred Qualifications

• Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast‑track experience
• Strong procedural skills (e.g., suturing, splinting, wound care)
• Experience with initial x‑ray interpretation prior to radiology over‑read
