A Day in the Life
We are currently looking for a Facilities Maintenance Mechanic III to work the 2nd shift (Monday - Friday 12:00pm - 8:30pm) at our plant in Tempe, Arizona. As a Facilities Maintenance Mechanic III, you will be responsible for ensuring that the plant is operating effectively and efficiently in terms of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, life safety, fire protection and security systems.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Perform repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment and work with a PM program.
Perform work in one or more of the maintenance trades: HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine, and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, RODI systems and welding.
Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
Use hand and power tools.
Test, inspects, troubleshoot, and repairs machines and equipment.
Use blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
Use an FMS program.
Climb ladders and lift greater than 50lbs.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED
Requires broad knowledge of operational systems and practices typically gained through prior work experience and/or education.
Requires minimum of 4 years of experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience.
May require vocational training and/or certification.
Nice to Have:
Must be trained in HVAC
RODI experience
Plumbing experience preferred
Electrical experience preferred
