The Opportunity
Our location in Lake Forest, IL currently has an opportunity for a Material Planner. The Material Planner is responsible for the efficient purchase, storage and movement of raw materials and finished goods.
What You’ll Work On
- Individual contributor role with comprehensive knowledge in the specific area.
Ability to execute highly complex or specialized work.
Works independently, applies standards yet adapts precedent and may make departures from established processes to resolve problems.
Under general direction, determines the quantity and order date for materials needed to meet the master production schedule. - Initiates purchase or production requisitions as appropriate.
- May be expected to give direction and guidance to other Material Planners.
- Frequently reports to an Inventory Planning and Control Manager.
- Provides advice and validates the quantity and order date for materials needed to meet the master production schedule.
Required Qualification
- High school diploma or GED
- 4 years related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation)
- Data Analysis & Inventory Management (inventory optimization, demand analysis, stock monitoring, and performance tracking)
- Raw Materials Planning (material requirements planning, supply planning, inventory control, and production support)
