Job Description

Looking for warehouse manager to manage a finished goods 3rd party warehouse. Manager will be responsible for receiving high value shipments, managing inventory and managing outbound shipments to customers.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Warehouse Manager to oversee day-to-day operations at our 3rd party logistics (3PL) warehouse. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of high-value materials, maintaining strict adherence to service level agreements (SLAs), and meeting customer delivery commitments. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a proven track record of managing 3PL relationships and time-sensitive logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage 3PL Warehouse Operations: Act as the primary liaison between our company and the 3rd party warehouse, ensuring all activities meet contractual and performance standards.
  • Inbound Management: Ensure timely receipt and accurate processing of materials from our manufacturing site, meeting all SLA requirements.
  • Outbound Management: Oversee order fulfillment processes to ensure customer shipments are picked, packed, and shipped on schedule and in full.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor and reconcile inventory accuracy, investigating and resolving discrepancies quickly.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency, accuracy, and speed.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure warehouse operations comply with all company policies, security protocols for high-value materials, and regulatory requirements.
  • Performance Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on warehouse KPIs, including SLA performance for inbound receipts and outbound shipping timeliness.
  • Issue Resolution: Quickly and effectively resolve any operational issues, including shipping delays, inventory shortages, or warehouse errors.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Manufacturing teams to ensure seamless end-to-end logistics.

Critical Success Indicators:

  • Receiving SLA Compliance: 100% of materials received from manufacturing site processed within agreed SLA times.
  • On-Time Shipping: 98%+ of customer orders shipped on or before the committed ship date.
  • Inventory Accuracy: Maintain inventory discrepancy rates below [e.g., 0.5%].
  • 3PL Relationship Management: Positive 3PL partnership with clear accountability and continuous performance improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5+ years of warehouse or logistics management experience, including 3PL management.
