Description
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Incident RCA (Root Cause Analysis) Leader to join our dynamic team. This role will be responsible for driving the necessary process changes and responses for effective long-term resolution of technical, non-technical, and security incidents. This position will report into our Business Transformation team and work closely with IT and other business functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with incident coordinators and commanders to quickly resolve and communicate statuses of live priority incidents across the organization, providing guidance and direction to cross-departmental teams.
- Coordinate communication and collaboration between executives, internal teams, external stakeholders, and third-party vendors during incident response activities.
- Lead technical and non-technical stakeholder teams through RCA’s to analyze root causes, identify areas for improvement, and implement preventive measures to enhance incident response effectiveness.
- Audit, analyze and provide routine and ad hoc reporting on RCA plans, outcomes, and impact on recurrent patterns.
- Monitor and manage long-term remediation outcomes from RCA’s to drive decreases in repetitive incidents.
- Stay updated on emerging threats and vulnerabilities, assessing their potential impact on Stax Payments' systems and proactively implementing measures to mitigate risks.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on incident response best practices, evolving maturity and effectiveness of Stax’s processes, and provide training and guidance to organization.
- Maintain documentation of incident response activities, including incident details, actions taken, and lessons learned.
- Location preference to be within 50 miles of Louisville (KY), Orlando (FL), or Salt Lake (UT)
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years prior experience in incident response management, with a deep understanding of incident response processes and methodologies.
- 3+ years prior experience leading RCA workshops and/or other continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences effectively.
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams under pressure and effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in the payments industry or financial services sector is a plus.
- Experience with Slack, Monday, Jira and other IT tools
