Join our growing Security Products group, where we're dedicated to creating cutting-edge security solutions that protect a significant portion of the internet. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to lead a talented group of Software Engineers and Data experts as we expand our security offerings. We're seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager who can drive innovation and growth through our anti-automation and anti-fraud products. Your role will be pivotal in accelerating product development, improving performance, and enhancing user experience across our security solutions.

What You'll Do:

• Build, mentor, and grow a distributed team of Software Engineers and technical leaders responsible for building and maintaining the products our customers rely on to secure their web applications
• Empower a team of engineers with varying levels of expertise and demonstrated ability to achieve a high level of technical efficiency, reliability, and simplicity
• Partner with Product Management and Program Management to prioritize and plan projects

What We're Looking For: 

• You have a minimum of 12 years of hands on engineering experience with at least 4 of those years in a direct management (meaning you have done performance reviews and talent management) role 
• You have at least 3 years of experience in directly managing a distributed team
• Experience leading and effectively executing a high growth team

We’ll be super impressed if you have experience in any of these: 

• Prior history working in the software security and web application industries
• Experience working with Fastly technologies
• High performance, large scale, or global multi-tenant systems

Work Hours:

This position will require you to be available during core business hours.

Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home. 

Salary: 

The estimated salary range for this position is $195,720 to $244,640. 

Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity and discretionary bonus programs.
