About the role

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the creation, planning, and execution of Team Member engagement events, AskHR services as well as frontline/operational training and development curriculum at Universal Kids Resort (UKR). Facilitates recognition programs for UKR Team Members in alignment with the Universal Destination and Experiences (UDX) Total Rewards Center of Excellence. Regularly communicates with UKR Senior Leadership on services to drive Team Member engagement. Provides impactful learning experiences and resources to build individual, team and leadership competence and confidence in partnership with the UDX Talent Development Center of Excellence.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees divisional training programs and Day 1 Orientation at UKR. Partners closely with UDX Talent Development Center of Excellence to ensure materials and presentations are current, relevant and within branding standards. Regularly evaluates facilitators and provides feedback to ensure quality and consistency. Observes and obtains feedback from new hires and Team Members throughout the course of their training experience, ensuring they have a smooth and consistent experience while remaining passionate about their personal development.
  • Designs, delivers and facilitates when needed synchronous and asynchronous training and development programs and initiatives in support of the company’s training plan, objectives and brand essence. Ensures training materials are updated, relevant and support current Standard Operating Procedures. Supports seasonal hiring with project planning for mass orientations and training to ensure effective onboarding of new hires. Incorporates measurement and assessment tools to support all training.
  • Ensures AskHR services offer Team Members relevant and timely information and support. Fosters and maintains positive relationships across UDX HR and customer base. Serves as an interface between internal/external Guests and functional Team Members to ensure effective definition of and delivery of services. Responsible for ensuring adequate communication of available services to Team Members. Recommends enhancement/changes to service level of knowledge and responsible for reaching out to partners in moving forward with implementation of these changes.
  • Drives Team Member engagement and HR events that align with Centers of Excellence and relevant programs across UDX, including special events/activities, to provide high levels of pride, engagement, and transparency. Manages the daily and monthly administration of all Company wide recognition, service, and reward programs in partnership with Total Rewards Center of Excellence. Develops and maintains tracking metrics, reviews and updates program policies and SOP’s regularly. Regularly communicates with internal Senior Leadership on program updates. Makes recommendations for process improvements and follows through to implement changes. Continually solicits Team Member feedback of programs to ensure satisfaction and enhance/expand future offerings. Responsible for ensuring budget and contract compliance for these programs.
  • Responsible for hiring decisions and training of staff. Provides coaching, development and feedback on performance to assigned team. Ensures team is meeting all objectives and accountabilities. Collaborates across the resort to identify Talent Development and promotional opportunities.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Supervises an Exempt team.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Schedule flexibility required with availability to work on weekends, holidays, or evenings.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Instructional Design or related field required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years’ experience in training and facilitation required (preferably within the hospitality industry), with previous supervisory experience; or equival
