About the role

This position is for a Cloud Engineer in the Boulder, CO area. You will be an integral part of a talented team responsible for managing, securing, and optimizing the IT infrastructure for our Department of Defense (DoD) clients. This role offers significant opportunities to expand your skills and expertise alongside other highly skilled professionals at Centil.

As a Cloud Engineer at Centil, your expertise and dedication to excellence will be crucial in maintaining the reliability and performance of critical systems that support the nation's defense.

Your primary work location will be Boulder, CO. You are expected to be in the office 3-4 days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely the other days.

What you'll do

• Provide Linux (preferably RHEL) system administration support for mission-critical data processing applications.
• Maintain system infrastructure by performing regular updates, patching, and user management.
• Monitor and correct system performance issues, ensuring optimal operational efficiency.
• Participate in software version testing and evaluation, providing valuable feedback to the development and test/ops community.
• Implement and manage Configuration Management for software upgrades and changes.
• Shepherd application onboarding and testing within the supported infrastructure by applying appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system errors, recommend system improvements, prepare operating procedures/instructions, and compile documentation of program development.
• Analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
• Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure and services within an AWS GovCloud environment, adhering to security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Implement and maintain automation tools and scripts for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management in AWS GovCloud (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible).
• EnsuEnsure the security and compliance of systems and data within the AWS GovCloud environment, following relevant DoD and industry standards.
• Collaborate with development teams to deploy and scale applications in AWS GovCloud, providing expertise on infrastructure and deployment strategies.

Required Qualifications

• Current Secret security clearance or higher
• B.S. in Computer Science or related technical field (or equivalent training/job experience is also acceptable)
