Position Summary
The Technical Operations Engineer is primarily responsible for supporting and deploying computer components for the Gaming Network, including routers, switches, windows controllers, and other data communications systems within the LNW Gaming network.
Essential Job Functions:
Performs tier II escalation troubleshooting and support for internal and external customer networks within the LNW Gaming network.
Coordinate installation and provisioning of network equipment with customers, field service, and ISP’s.
Performs network maintenance and upgrades as required.
Maintains and supports the Solarwinds NMS system elements, alerts, and databases
Maintains standard network configurations in routers, switches, and firewalls.
Reviews daily/monthly reports of network outages and issues.
Troubleshoots and resolves network WAN outages and escalates with telecom provider as needed.
Research, resolves, and documents Syslog generated error messages.
Provides change management support for network projects as needed.
Provide in-house wiring and cabling for WAN circuits and between game elements on the customer LAN.
Provides 24/7 on call support on a rotational basis.
Coordinate projects that include other departments.
Manage inventory with buyers for installs.
Review current topology of our sites to progress to specific teams.
Process equipment from site removals (removing current configs, etc.).
Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Training and/or Experience:
3+ years supporting a large enterprise network.
Cisco CCNA certification or relevant experience preferred.
Security +, Network +, A+ certifications preferred.
Education
Equivalent experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
