Claims Intake Associate Overview

As the Claims Intake Associate you will be the first point of contact for customers, assisting them with the claims process and supporting the claims team by obtaining necessary claim information. Key responsibilities include uploading supporting documents into the appropriate claims, answering basic claims questions for customers via phone and email and making follow-up calls to customers and locations for further information as needed.

 

Pay:

Salary: $35,500

 

Responsibilities

(include, but are not limited to)

  • Answers incoming phone calls and emails regarding claims requests
  • Contacts customers to acknowledge the receipt of claims and inform them of needed information and next steps
  • Performs basic research to support the claims process, requesting delivery information, photos, police reports, vehicle inspection forms, etc.
  • Researches basic claims questions and escalates if needed
  • Sets up new incoming claims, both in home damage as well as vehicle damage, including reaching out to customer to get additional details to complete required fields
  • Supports other projects and assignments as needed
  • Uploads documents into appropriate claims


Requirements

  • Ability to manage new claims and setup case loads
  • Ability to initiate outbound calls and receive inbound phone calls
  • Ability to address the customer with professionalism and courtesy
  • Ability to manage time against workload
  • Ability to use laptop and company software
  • Basic problem-solving skills
