And what will you do?
Summary:
Provides training for a wide range of production operations, while ensuring safety in the workplace. Works with the operations supervisor to execute daily training and production plan, site initiatives, and company initiatives. Supports initiatives to improve the customers’ business. Continually improves all aspects of production through training and development of employees.
Core Functions:
* Follows and enforces all plant safety procedures and uses all applicable personal protective gear. Ensures safety goals are achieved and safety performance continually improves. Periodically performs Job Safety Analysis reviews.
* Follows work standards to provide job instruction training to employees.
* Works with other trainers and Division Support Engineering to ensure that all work standards are up to date.
* Prepares and updates training materials, tracks and records completed training including any required exams or certifications/licenses.
* Develops personal skills in the areas of job instruction, teaching methods and approaches.
* Continually improves all aspects of production through training and development of employees.
* Ensures that all production areas are to standard in terms of 5S and work instructions.
* Develops site through constant On the Job Training and coaching.
* Champions and supports continuous improvement activities to improve team’s performance in safety, quality, on time performance, and site key performance indicators (KPIs) by providing problem solving and continuous improvement training.
* Supports compliance to Central States and customer specific quality specifications by ensuing that training is up to date so that all quality control checks are effectively completed.
* Plans and schedules training to ensure that production has the appropriate proficiency level of manpower available as well as meeting development goals of each employee. Uses data to understand performance issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions as related to training.
* Understands cost control and what financially impacts the site.
* Work with Supervisor to create training plans for the site with clear weekly deliverable expectations for training.
* Oversees and leads a site/shift scheduling training.
Key Measures of Success:
* Ability to learn and teach production operations, continuous improvement and problem solving.
* Customer and detailed oriented.
* Ability to read a tape measure, do basic mathematical calculations, and use a calculator.
* Ability to learn production operations.
* Follows procedures and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
* Ability to learn and teach the internal Enterprise Resource Planning system.

Education & Experience:
Minimum Required:
* Greater than two (2) years CSMI experience
* All Level Zero jobs certified.
* Greater than 50% of the site Level One and Level Two jobs certified.
Preferred:
* High School diploma
* Current certification on crane and forklift
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud and in a non-temperature-controlled environment and exposure to outside weathe
