About the Role:

The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas is looking for a versatile Sr. Manager, Technology Solutions with direct oversight for Software Engineers. You will manage a group of projects and may provide application systems and programming for a major segment of the business, such as a function or a division. Responsible for multiple projects or systems; or alternatively, may be accountable for a group of IT Services functions and be accountable for the planning, analysis, evaluation and coordination of Bank-wide interactive software. Applies highest level technical skills and experience to most complex business projects and problems. You may direct the work of other team members not under your direct administrative responsibility.

You Will:

  • Organize the planning, analysis, program development, and implementation of new projects and support of existing systems.
  • Responsible for management of all aspects of technology services including solutions development, testing, platform management, operations support, maintenance, business relationships, and resources.
  • Work with all levels of management by being the primary IT Services liaison to the functional area production support, project initiatives and related support activities.
  • Plan, organize and coordinate complex projects or parts of large projects by establishing detailed project schedules and staff assignments for all phases of new project development and existing systems support tasks.
  • Provide technical guidance and manage the activities of the group.
  • Monitor and review the progress of application development and production enhancements and prepares progress and activity reports.
  • Exercise authority of manager in assigned sections; interview, recommend, hire, train and appraise performance of subordinates; recommend salary actions; review work of staff.
  • Provide policy level direction regarding technical and quality assurance standards, departmental directions, procedures, and planning and monitoring of budget.
  • Actively involved in the accomplishment of departmental and/or Bank-wide quality initiatives by being a department coordinator, team leader, or team member.
  • Develop others through coaching, feedback and stretch assignments. Identifies potential developmental moves matching career aspirations and organizational needs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of five years application design and support; minimum five years project management experience.
  • Experience with Agile and System Development Life Cycle methodology for Application development.
  • Experience in supervision of project managers, programmers and analysts.
  • Knowledge in PC platforms and application development and use of standard PC productivity tools is desirable.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working Knowledge of Development languages and Data Base Systems.
