Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our team as a BIM and Digital Solutions Intern for 6 months. As an intern, you will work closely with our design team to support the implementation and optimization of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and other digital tools in our projects. This internship will provide you with hands-on experience in the field of construction technology and an opportunity to contribute to real-world projects. Final research to lead to an answer on unique selling point from a BIM/digital standpoint.
Responsibilities:
- BIM Support: Assist the team in studying BIM implementation methods, market trends and competition.
- Digital Tool Implementation: Assist in the implementation of digital tools and software solutions to enhance project efficiency and collaboration, such as document management systems, virtual reality, laser scanning, and other emerging technologies.
- Data Management: Support the collection, organization, and management of project data, ensuring accuracy and consistency across various platforms and tools.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to effectively communicate project requirements and coordinate the exchange of BIM-related information.
- Research and Development: Stay updated on the latest BIM and digital solutions trends, tools, and industry standards, and contribute to ongoing research and development initiatives within the team.
- Training and Documentation: Assist in the development of training materials and documentation for BIM processes and digital tools, and provide support to team members in adopting and utilizing these technologies effectively.
- Problem Solving: Identify and troubleshoot technical issues related to BIM models and digital tools, proposing and implementing appropriate solutions.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Good knowledge of BIM concepts and software (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, or similar tools).
- Familiarity with digital tools and emerging technologies in the construction industry (e.g., laser scanning, virtual reality, or project management software).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with programming languages or scripting (e.g., Python, Dynamo) is a plus.
