InfoSec Intern

About our group:

 

The Information Security intern opening is within the Infosec Operations team at Seagate. The Infosec intern will be responsible for supporting the GRC program and processes. The role will coordinate and prepare for GRC tasks such as Infosec assessments, security risk management, and preparation for audits.

About the role - you will:

 

• Coordinate the preparation for Infosec audit / assessments
• Create inventory of actions from previous assessments
• Coordinate with control owners in Infosec and other IT teams to gather documentation and evidence to evaluate progress
• Facilitate the process of self- assessment while ensuring that the process is accurate and consistent, fine tuning as required
• Support the identification, analysis, and management of internal and third-party information security risks
• Research and Analysis: Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging threats, and changes in regulations, and provide insights to the Infosec and risk management team
• Assist in the documentation of processes, procedures, and job-aids related to assessments and risk management

About you:

 

• Self-driven personality who can work with moderate level of supervision and direction
• Enthusiastic and quick learner with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, planning, and organizational skills, with some project management or coordination experience

Your experience includes:

 

• Strong academic history in computer science, cyber security, or related discipline
• Current masters student pursuing a degree in a similar discipline

The estimated base salary range for this position: $28 -$35. Actual salary range is based on the regional labor market of the role in the geography in which the position is located based on the requirements of the job and your skills. This posted salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, and Seagate reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
