Pay Grade:  880  (Min $448.61 per day)

Primary Purpose:

Provide leadership and operational oversight for the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of elementary academic programs and services. Collaborate with the Executive Director, district leaders, and campus leaders to align and implement resources, systems, and supports that promote high-quality teaching and learning across all elementary campuses

Qualifications:

 

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree (required)
  • Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, or related field (required)
  • Principal certification (required)
  • Principal experience (preferred)

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of curriculum development, instructional best practices, assessment systems, and school improvement processes
  • Advanced knowledge of research-based practices for emergent bilingual students, including language acquisition, sheltered instruction, and academic language development
  • Knowledge of federal and state educational requirements, accountability systems, and compliance procedures
  • Ability to lead district-wide academic initiatives and monitor implementation across multiple campuses
  • Strong leadership, organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyze student achievement, assessment, and program evaluation data to inform decision-making
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with campus and district leaders, teachers, and community stakeholders
  • Skill in facilitating professional learning and leading adult learning initiatives
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proficiency in technology and data management systems and tools

Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years successful experience in campus and/or district instructional leadership
  • Experience in curriculum implementation, school improvement planning, and professional learning systems preferred

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Leads the implementation of district elementary academic programs and initiatives to ensure alignment with district goals and strategic priorities
  • Supervises assigned staff within Elementary Academic Services
  • Leads and supports the development, implementation, and monitoring of curriculum resources, instructional supports, and professional learning opportunities
  • Provides vision, leadership, and ongoing monitoring of the district's instructional coaching framework, professional learning, resources, tools, and implementation to ensure high-quality instructional support across campuses.
  • Collaborates with campus administrators to support effective implementation of instructional programs and school improvement efforts
  • Analyzes student achievement and program data to identify trends, monitor effectiveness, and recommend improvements
  • Monitors district and campus implementation of instructional initiatives and provides feedback to district leadership
  • Facilitates professional learning for administrators, instructional staff, and district personnel
  • Oversees assigned grants, budgets, contracts, and program requirements to ensure compliance and effectiveness
  • Supports the Executive Director in strategic planning, organizational initiatives, and cross-functional district projects
  • Coordinates communication and collaboration among district departments to ensure alignment of academic services and support systems
  • Reviews district policies, procedures, and instructional resources to ensure alignment with state/federal requirements and district priorities
  • Provides leadership for continuous improvement efforts focused on increasing student achievement and academic growth
  • Represents the department in district committees, community partnerships, and professional organizations as assigned
  • Develops implementation plans, monitoring systems, and accountability measures for district academic initiatives
