Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Inpatient Neuroscience Administrative Director, the Inpatient Coordinator will represent our service line throughout the organization and in our community as a key team member in the expansion and on-going process improvement for our Neuroscience Program. This individual will provide administrative support for the Neuroscience Service Line leaders, assisting with leaders' schedules, meetings, meeting minutes, data acquisition and assimilation for leader visibility and meetings, and supply and invoice management. On rare occasions, this individual may be asked to travel to, or work, at another NGHS Inpatient Campus in support of service line leaders or service line function. Will work collaboratively with the Ambulatory Clinics to evaluate opportunities for process improvement to ensure continuity of care. Responsible for business-oriented tasks such as obtaining census data, supply and service management, accounts payable, and other duties, as assigned. Provides general clerical support for Neuroscience Administrators, providers, and other staff as needed. Incumbent must be able to effectively assist in resolving problems, escalating, when necessary, in a complex, dynamic environment.
Minimum Job Qualifications
Licensure or other certifications:
Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum Experience: Five (5) years of secretarial experience.

Preferred Educational Requirements: Associates Degree with two (2) years secretarial experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience: Three (3) years working in a health care setting preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Epic EHR is desirable

Hospital or physician group management experience preferred.
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
General Administration. Serve as the point of contact between providers, NGPG and NGHS staff as it relates to a variety of administrative functions. Support the Chair in scheduling meetings and facilitating physician attendance. This includes Department/Staff meetings, team meetings, committee meetings, council meetings, and community outreach meetings. Room reservations and food service should be scheduled as needed. Collection of relevant data to measure physicians for various clinical quality, service quality, productivity and other performance metrics. Develop effective tools for illustrating performance (e.g. charts, graphs, PowerPoint). Support recruitment team in scheduling provider interviews and related logistics. Order office supplies. This includes general supplies, business cards, toner cartridges, and various other items. Actively participates in short and long-term service line planning. Assists with goal implementation, resource allocation, and leading projects within service line as requested.
Revenue Management. Performs revenue management functions for the practice, including developing a system for timely and accurate charge capture. Work with CBO to ensure all charges are captured and posted in a timely and accurate manner. Follow up with providers to resolve missing or incomplete patient medical record documentation. Understand and be able to analyze basic CPT coding process and criteria. May identify opportunities for improved revenue capture and coding practices. Participate
