About the Role

The Taquero prepares food orders for customers while assisting cooks with gathering and preparing ingredients. This role ensures consistency in portion, quality, and presentation while maintaining a clean and safe work area. Taqueros provide prompt, courteous service and promote sales by suggestive selling, all while supporting Vallarta’s standards of food safety, sanitation, and teamwork.

What You’ll Do

• Greet customers with a smile and provide outstanding, prompt service.

• Prepare food orders consistently in portion, quality, and appearance to company standards.

• Only prepare food orders that have been paid for.

• Promote sales by suggestive selling of advertised specials.

• Assist cooks in gathering and preparing meats and other ingredients.

• Notify management when products or supplies are needed.

• Transport products to and from coolers and storage areas.

• Monitor food temperatures and report discrepancies to management.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Work safely, using tools and equipment properly, and report issues immediately.

• Treat coworkers and customers respectfully; no profanity or obscene gestures.

• Follow all health codes, food safety practices, and sanitation procedures.
