Job Overview
The Workplace and Facilities Operations Manager will oversee the efficient and effective management of workplace services, facilities operations, and office environments. This role focuses on creating a productive, safe, and engaging workplace experience while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in troubleshooting and repairing building systems, equipment, and infrastructure, alongside partnering with IT and the Information Security Manager to implement robust physical security measures. This position combines strategic planning with technical skills and hands-on problem-solving to support company growth and employee satisfaction.

Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day workplace operations, ensuring a seamless and efficient office, industrial, manufacturing, and research environment.
- Manage office layouts, space planning, and seating arrangements to optimize productivity and accommodate company growth.
- Collaborate with HR and leadership to enhance employee engagement through workplace initiatives and events.
- Develop and implement workplace policies and procedures to support company culture and values.
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting and repairs of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and office equipment, to ensure all systems function optimally.
- Regularly inspect facilities to identify maintenance needs and address them proactively.
- Act as the first responder for maintenance issues, resolving problems directly or coordinating with external vendors for complex repairs.
- Develop and execute a preventive maintenance program to extend the life of equipment and infrastructure.
- Maintain an inventory of tools, spare parts, and supplies to facilitate timely repairs and maintenance.
- Lead facility upgrades and improvement projects with both technical expertise and project management skills.
- Serve as liaison between the business and its landlords.
- Participate in government agency safety and regulatory inspections. Assist in ensuring compliance with company policies, Federal, State and local regulations.
