About this position 

We are seeking a motivated applications support analyst to join our dynamic IT team.  

This role will assist in the support, maintenance, and enhancement of our business applications. This is an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills and contribute to meaningful projects within a supportive learning environment.  

The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively, work both independently and collaboratively within a small, close-knit team, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. What you’ll be doing 

• Applications support: Providing first-level support for business applications, troubleshooting issues, and escalating complex problems to senior team members; 
• User assistance: Collaborating with end-users to understand their needs, assisting with inquiries, and providing training on application functionalities; 
• Testing and quality assurance: Participating in testing new features and updates to ensure applications meet business requirements and function optimally; 
• Documentation: Maintaining detailed documentation of application configurations, updates and user guides; 
• Performance monitoring: Monitoring application performance metrics and suggesting improvements to enhance user experience; 
• Collaboration: Working closely with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to support ongoing projects and implement solutions. 

What you bring to the table 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field; 
• Internship or entry-level experience in application support or a related area is a plus; 
• Basic understanding of software development life cycles, databases (SQL), and familiarity with programming languages is advantageous; 
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills; 
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies; 
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team; 
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills; 
• Customer service-oriented persona, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Job specifications 

• Reports to the solutions architect; 
• Non-exempt, full-time, 12-month work year; 
• Eight-hour workday, four-day workweek; 
• Hybrid work schedule with approval by management; 
• Requires significant travel to and from Options for Learning offices and/or classroom sites located throughout the San Gabriel Valley; 
• Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required; 
• Employment, responsibilities, compensation and other factors may be affected by changes in governmental regulations, the organization’s contracts, or at organization’s discretion. 

Salary 

$28.00 to $42.00 per hour
