THIS IS NOT A TELEWORK POSITION. CANDIDATE WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK IN THE OFFICE.
Location: 2415 N. Monroe St., Suite 400, Tallahassee, FL 32303.
Some travel may be required.
This is a full-time Career Service position, working 40 hours per week.
Regular business hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm EST, Monday to Friday.
Salary to be determined, based on relevant experience, $62,000 – $64,000 maximum.
If selected for hire, current DCF employees will be compensated in accordance with the DCF salary policy.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred and four years of professional experience in program planning, program research, program evaluation, or administrative work.

- A master's degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for one year of the required experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively.
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- At least two (2) years of experience researching and interpreting policies and procedures.
- Ability to write and edit using proper grammar and writing style outlined by agency and program requirements.
- Experience with Microsoft products (examples: Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze budget, financial and fiscal data.
Preference will be given to candidates who meet the following:
- In-depth understanding of public assistance programs.
- Knowledge and understanding of federal reporting requirements.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
This is a professional position responsible in the Department of Children and Families, Office of Economic Self Sufficiency (ESS) for compliance with applicable rules, policies, and regulations related to the federally funded Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and the SNAP Employment and Training (SNAP E&T) program. The incumbent will develop and successfully implement service delivery through reporting and analyzing activities and evaluation processes and ensure compliance of program goals and requirements.
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develop a clear understanding of the federal rules governing SNAP and SNAP E&T program.
- Develop and maintain a Partner Handbook to ensure consistency with program rules.
- Administer oversight of the coordinated activities between DCF, Florida Commerce and CareerSource as required to implement the mandatory SNAP E&T program for Florida.
- Provide interpretation of regulations, and program oversight for the state.
- Responsible for collection and submission of state mandated reports to the USDA/FNS that reflect performance of the Florida SNAP E&T program. This task includes participation in monthly conference calls with Federal and State partners to monitor data collection and coordination of data sharing agreements with other State agencies to ensure appropriate data collection is achieved.
