Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:    Perform duties required to receive, store, and issue manufactured & purchased parts, materials, equipment, and other stockroom items. Keep records and compile reports.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Receive, count, inspect and store stock items and record data, manually or using computer.

• Record nature, quantity, value, or location of material, supplies, or equipment received, shipped, used, or issued to workers.

• Locate and select material, parts and kits from stock or issue stock items to workers.

• Pack, unpack, and mark stock items, using identification tag, stamp, electric marking tool, or other labeling equipment.

• Determine method of storage, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capacity of facility.

• Deliver supplies to designated area, and determines sequence and release of back orders according to stock availability.

• Perform cycle counts to verify accuracy of inventory records against physical count of stock, investigate discrepancies, and adjust for errors.

• Receive and fill parts and kit orders.

• Examine & inspect stock items for wear or defects, report damage to supervisor for disposition.

• Other duties as assigned by Team Leader and/or Supervisor.

• Comply with company standards for attendance and hours of work.

• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition, informing supervisor of defective or faulty equipment or materials and unusual conditions, maintaining quality standards and following safety rules.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education: Knowledge equivalent to a basic high school vocational education with the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers including decimals and fractions; and to work from drawings, diagrams, schedules, etc.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in related work
