The Opportunity:

The Roche Support Network is dedicated to providing exceptional support to customers.  As a Field Engineering Specialist:

  • You will travel to customer sites and showcase your expertise in technical repair and installation for Roche assigned product lines.

  • You will offer valuable service to laboratory customers in your assigned territory.

  • You will provide routine technical support, on-site service, repair, and installation of Roche products.

  • You will serve as a customer contact for technical and service-related issues and perform preventative maintenance.

  • You will diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures.

  • You will document all activities, contribute to quality improvement, and focus on maximizing customer satisfaction.

This is a field based role and will provide primary support for Wausau, WI and surrounding areas of Wisconsin.

This position has the possibility of up to 50% travel requirements. Weekend and holiday working hours are required on a rotating on-call schedule.

Who You Are

    • High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or equivalent work experience

    • 5 years of progressive experience repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking OR a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or related field plus 1-2 years of progressive experience repairing or servicing complex mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking

    • Successfully training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy

    • Ability to travel, including some overnight travel, is required

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 8+ years of progressive experience, OR a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus 4+ years of progressive experience

    • Advanced knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, and information technology

    • Ability to serve as an internal technical resource that can train and mentor other FESs in the region

    • Provide support after hours and on weekends and holidays as required

    • Possess strong customer service skills to ensure positive customer relationships

    Relocation benefits are not included for this position.

    The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of WI is $66 - $123k. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
