About the role
Job Description Summary
As the Commercial Customer Portals (CCP) UX Interaction Designer, you will ensure CCP delivers seamless self-service capabilities across all four portals. You will be involved in managing one or more UX contractors and aligning perspectives from a broad set of stakeholders, including Business Executives, Product Managers, Product Owners, Developers, and Internal/External Customers.As the UX Interaction Designer, you will act as a subject matter expert in interaction design best practices, prototyping software, and validation techniques. You will mentor junior UX team members, collaborate with development pods, and influence Product Owners, Engineering Leaders, and Functional Business Stakeholders to drive product direction.
You will be responsible for assisting in the creation of useful and desirable software product and service experiences for the industrial internet of things. You will contribute to multiple user experience engagements and highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge across multiple specialized business domains.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Technical Product Managers (TPMs) and Business leadership to understand business strategy, timing, and value stories. Coordinate with the CCP team to integrate these needs into North Star plans.
- Partner with CCP Business stakeholders to share updates, train users, and support customers in using the Material Store.
- Drive successful UX design implementation by working closely with TPMs, User Experience, Engineering, and Architecture teams.
- Define the Product North Star Vision, multi-year roadmap, and 5-quarter development plan in collaboration with TPMs and key stakeholders.
- Document requirements and test solutions prior to implementation in partnership with TPMs and Business teams.
- Follow and implement standard work processes, including Big Room Reviews (BRR), Big Room Planning (BRP), and KPI report-outs.
- Utilize tools such as Figma, Miro, Rally, and other UX-specific software used by the CCP team.
- Address tickets, issues, and new requirements within agreed timelines while continuously improving processes.
- Suggest and implement process improvements based on incoming tickets and business needs.
- Ensure portals comply with ITC Sanctions, including asset and customer requirements.
- Apply Lean principles to review, update, and implement standard operating procedures.
Leadership
- Influence Business Partners, Software Engineers, and User Experience Designers on their decisions to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Identify and remove obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team to maintain momentum and productivity.
- Take ownership of projects, delivering results while mentoring and supporting team members to grow their skills and capabilities.
- Clearly verbalize the rationale behind decisions and consider downstream implications to ensure thoughtful and impactful outcomes.
