JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Data Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing Jabil's critical data assets, ensuring data quality, integrity, and accessibility across various systems and platforms. This role involves developing and implementing data governance strategies, managing data lifecycles, and leading initiatives to optimize data utilization for business insights and operational efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust data management policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with Jabil's overall data strategy.

  • Lead efforts in data quality assurance, including defining data quality metrics, developing cleansing processes, and monitoring data accuracy.

  • Oversee the entire data lifecycle, from data acquisition and storage to archiving and disposal, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.

  • Collaborate with various business units to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data solutions and models.

  • Manage and optimize data repositories, databases, and data warehouses, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.

  • Develop and implement data governance frameworks, including data ownership, stewardship, and access controls.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data professionals.

  • Evaluate and recommend new data management technologies and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Participate in cross-functional projects, providing data expertise and ensuring data integration across systems.

  • Document data processes, data flows, and system architectures comprehensively.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience with various database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases).

  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modeling techniques.

  • Expertise in data quality management principles and tools.

  • Experience with data governance frameworks and data stewardship best practices.

  • Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using SQL, Python, or other relevant programming languages.

  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is highly desirable.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to lead projects, manage priorities, and work independently with minimal supervision.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in data management, data governance, or data architecture roles.

The pay range for this role is $115,500 - $207,900. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity. The anticipated close date of this job requisition is: June 30, 2026.

As part of the total rewards package, this position is eligible for a short-term incentive based on performance. In addition, Jabil offers benefits to enhance your health, wealth, and resilient self.
