POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for supporting and coordinating the Company’s tax compliance, tax planning, and accounting for taxes in all jurisdictions (federal, foreign, state, and local) with the Tax Manager. The successful candidate will work with internal employees at all locations, service providers, and other tax professionals in carrying out his or her responsibilities. He or she will work with financial management within the Company and third-party service providers.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Report to the Tax Manager who works closely with the incumbent in this position to establish and achieve annual corporate goals for the Accounting Department.
- Assist in the oversight of completion of federal, international, and state income tax returns including all related analysis and support by third party service providers.
- Manage franchise and property tax functions and oversight of sales and use tax, including all compliance, audit, and research.
- Prepare the income tax provision (ASC 740) and related documentation for US and international locations.
- Act as liaison with operating management on tax issues and accounting staff on tax accounting issues.
- Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place over accounting for income taxes and verifies SOX compliance within the Tax Department.
- Research potential transactions, including but not limited to, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, projects in foreign locations or new jurisdictions, or other types of transactions.
- Assist in developing tax planning strategies for the Company.
- Monitor new accounting guidance and help implement new standards.
- Estimate and monitor annual cash payments of taxes for cash flow forecasting purposes.
- Prepare the quarterly estimated income tax payment calculations.
- Assist in the company’s FIN 48/UTP analysis.
