We are hiring for Cross Functional Program Manager to provide leadership for large high profile global enterprise projects focusing on Workday and other critical implementations that cover or impact multiple business processes.
You will be responsible for leading the planning and management of multiple connected cross functional internal and external teams to collaborate and design the optimal solutions. This role will give you a unique opportunity to shape our Workday solution, support our global organization and be an influential part in our HR modernization journey.
What You Will Do:
- Oversee Caterpillar’s Workday Cross Functional Programs, providing leadership with an understanding of HR Processes to provide guidance for planning the work and design processes with knowledge of technology, process management principles and Lean.
- Organizing and coordinating processes and procedures for all project teams to follow within the program.
- Lead from a program management perspective while also contributing expertise for solutioning.
- Support programs coordinating multiple Workday Architects along with relevant stakeholders, to create and implement new and revised Workday processes, system enhancements, and workflows to ensure cross functional cohesion along with compliance with jurisdictional employment and labor laws and regulations.
- Serving as a liaison and building bridges among project teams within the program. Translating corporate objectives into program objectives and practices for internal and external teams.
- Planning and monitoring program development to ensure that quality standards and goals are achieved.
- Managing all aspects of a program to ensure projects within the program are implemented, accepted, and accomplished within a set deadline.
- Manage multiple programs simultaneously navigating competing priorities and/or resources to achieve project plan timelines.
What You Have:
- Program Management: Knowledge of the policies and techniques to manage a set of related projects within a program; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control the set of projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve program objectives.
- Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
- Alignment: Knowledge of the importance of collaboration among team members and the ability to enroll stakeholders in communicating and coordinating activities to support the organization's vision and strategies.
- Cross-Team Integration: Understanding of the importance of inter-team collaboration in breaking down silos and achieving business results; ability to lead employees from various functions to communicate, coordinate work across divisions, and collaborate in solving problems as one team.
- Team Management: Knowledge of effective team building techniques; ability to form and manage effective teams.
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
- Global Workday deployment/implementation project experience within a matrix organization - other HRM Systems will also be desirable.
- Skilled in building trusted partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking, driving process efficiencies and customer focused solutions.

- The primary location for this position is Irving, TX
- This role requires up to 5 days/week onsite
- International and Domestic travel up to 20%
