HOW YOUR ROLE FITS INTO BOLDT:

The Development Associate will research and understand current market trends and projections, coordinate transactions and manage deal communication, all of which are keys to success in this role. The Development Associate is accountable for working closely with marketing staff in establishing and implementing the operating group’s overall business and marketing plans, ensuring the plans are carried out to the company’s standards, and supported by the vital business functions and processes to ensure a successful outcome. Real Estate is a growing market with opportunities for those interested in helping people with developing and managing properties. 

WHAT YOU GET TO DO:
  • Transaction management.  Helping coordinate project activities including financial feasibility tracking and financial closings.
  • Assist a project team and develop through the course of initial client relationship building project concept through entitlements, leasing, financing, design, construction, and turnover to the asset management team. 
  • Coordinate consultants and project team members to deliver real estate projects to completion that meet the needs of our clients. 
  • Create structured financial offerings to fund real estate projects that support the growth strategies and needs of our clients. 
  • Leverages industry, economic, and market information to support financial underwriting/modeling. 
  • Working with the group’s development and asset management teams to generate leads to lease space in both new business development and stabilized properties as needed to support our business. 
  • Assisting our business development team in pursuit of new clients and project leads.
  • Helping manage our CRM software and executing on the creation of our Sales Qualified Leads.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or related field. 
  • One to three years of relevant experience is preferred in real estate, construction and/or finance, although new graduates are also encouraged to apply. 
  • Strong communication skills, including a willingness and comfortability to create and maintain relationships by means of cold and warm phone calls, are important to be successful in this role. 
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite programs is required, with strong skills in Excel preferred. 
  • Most importantly, all candidates must demonstrate a strong desire and aptitude to pursue a career in commercial real estate development. 
  • Goal oriented, with a focus on personal development
  • A valid driver’s license may be required. Individuals in this role may be subject to an annual Motor Vehicle Records check. The outcome of any MVR checks conducted may negatively impact the persons’ ability to participate in any vehicle program provided by the company, including but not limited to the ability to drive a personal vehicle on behalf of Boldt Holdings or rent a vehicle through for business travel purposes.
