Cost Estimator – Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid)

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cost Estimator to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cost estimation for engineering and construction projects, particularly in public airport work. This full-time role offers a hybrid schedule: telework on Monday and Friday, onsite Tuesday-Thursday.

Responsibilities:

• Review proposals, scopes, labor rates, and material pricing to ensure alignment with contract specifications.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates based on engineering drawings and historical data.
• Collaborate with project teams and third-party estimators to reconcile estimates.
• Track changes in estimates and communicate them clearly.
• Provide guidance and training to junior estimators when needed.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of cost estimates and reports.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of estimating experience in engineering and construction, with a focus on public airport projects (preferred).
• Proficiency with estimating software (On-Screen Takeoff, MC2), industry databases (RS Means), and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong experience with cost estimation formats (Uniformat II) and change order processing.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Certified Estimating Professional credentials, PMP, or PE preferred.

Compensation:

$87k-184k

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
