AI:

At n8n, we're pondering the following questions

• How can we build n8n for AI? - Are there ways to build new functionality into the platform to help us interact better with a variety of AI technologies. How can n8n help users make the most of AI? What becomes possible when AI and automation work together hand-in-hand
• How can we build AI for n8n? - Can we leverage AI within the n8n to create better, simpler, and more powerful user experiences? How does AI assist the n8n user?

We're looking for someone to join the team who has ideas about these things, and a passion for artificial intelligence. The successful candidate will be someone who can ideate on both of these objectives, and craft meaningful, exciting solutions that push n8n to the next level.

Engineering:

• Work as a generalist across back- and front-end engineering priorities: building integrations and other features for the product and improving our cloud product and the website
• Support the test-driven development of the software stack (e.g. code reviews, unit tests, CI) and documentation
• Work closely with the engineering team, and cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and developer advocates, along with the founder and senior management to help drive further growth of the company
• We are trying to build a product that our community love. That starts internally. Being excited to push our product / company to the next level is an essential part of any role at n8n. This means jamming with the team, caring about enabling one-another, building workflows, and contributing ideas to make n8n better. You can expect the same from any colleague at n8n.

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience with Node.js and Typescript, ideally working on a deep tech product
• Knowledge of the AI field - While we’re not looking for someone who has worked on building AI models, we are looking for someone who has passion for AI, and a
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Jasmine, Cypress, etc
• Experience in consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs
• Relational database design and SQL programming skills (SQLite, PostgreSQL)
• Bonus points: experience with cloud computing (Docker, Kubernetes), DevOps knowledge and/or experience with Vue.js
• Interest in open source

This role can be done from anywhere within Europe. We can sponsor visas to Germany; for any other country, you need to have existing right to work. Our company language is English.
