Raytheon’s Configuration Management & Data Management (CMDM) organization is responsible for ensuring our products are under configuration control and delivered on time. The CMDM organization consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers.
What You Will Do
- Support bids and proposal activities as required
- Participate in the coordination and administration of configuration & data management activities related to engineering documents (work products).
- Ensure configuration, data and change activities are followed by configuration management policies and customer contractual requirements
- Review and analyze engineering change data and coordinate changes with design and systems engineering, quality, operations, manufacturing and contracts
- CM tools for configuration identification, configuration control, and product release and delivery
- Establish and maintain program CM systems
- Release and manage configuration baselines
- Execute and continuously improve all process steps required to maintain product baselines
- Interface with cross-functional business teams to provide solutions to a variety of technical challenges
- Coordinate and lead Configuration/Change Control Boards (CCBs)
- This 1st shift role will be 100% on-site and based in Goleta, CA.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires A University Degree and a minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR in lieu of a degree 9 years of professional experience in Configuration Management
- Experience with databases (SAP, ERP, PDM, CABS, PRISM, and/or other related databases).
- Experience with MSOffice (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Qualifications We Prefer
- Typically requires Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
- Understands principles, standards and processes, such as described in EIA-649, Configuration Management Standard
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with various engineering disciplines to ensure data integrity and compliance with configuration management policies
- Ability to identify potential complex problems associated with technical engineering data regarding configuration management issues, and take corrective action as needed
- Demonstrated ability to support multiple ongoing projects and parallel release activities
- Experience working in an Engineering team environment, interfacing with Hardware, Systems or Test Engineers
