We are seeking Information Technology (IT) Support Staff to support our customer’s IT operations in Norfolk, VA. The effort provides IT services, audio/video support, application development, network engineering, operations, information assurance, and knowledge management support. This position will be on-site and will require an active Secret Clearance. 

 

IT Support Staff Primary Duties:

• Provide robust IT administrative, and technical services and support to users
• Provide program security, administrative, and services support
• Process Contract Modifications and Change Requests
• Address/meet staffing requirements
• Maintain/update customer database
• Schedule and conduct staff/user equipment refresh to include installation, upgrade, and updates
• Conduct problem resolution and network/systems upgrades with customer teams to minimize impact to operations
• Coordinate with Help Desk and support organizations to resolve issues quickly
• Work closely with customer to process services, including engineering
• Conduct software testing for implementation on customer platforms and networks
• Fulfill customer and staff training requirements
• Assist in the preparation and production of reports, briefs, and other deliverables
• Maintain inventory of all IT equipment, including mobile device management
• Support telephony setup, maintenance, and update/upgrade requirements

Qualifications

IT Support Staff Education and Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience working with Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) Next Generation Enterprise Network (NGEN) personnel and equipment
• 2 years of experience in providing Tier 1 or higher customer support
• High School Diploma
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Outstanding communication and teamwork skills

Essential Requirements:

• US Citizenship is required
• Must have an active Secret Clearance

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly sit, walk, stand, and climb stairs and steps. May require walking long distance from parking to workstation. Occasionally, movement that requires twisting at the neck and/or trunk more than the average person, squatting/ stooping/kneeling, reaching above the head, and forward motion will be required. The employee will continuously be required to repeat the same hand, arm, or finger motion many times. Manual and finger dexterity are essential to this position. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, depth perception and telling differences among colors. The employee must be able to communicate through speech with clients and the public. Hearing requirements include conversation in both quiet and noisy environments. Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
