Job Description
Western Digital is seeking a New College Graduate to join the Wafer Production Control team in Fremont, CA. The candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing end-to-end processes of wafer production control for wafer supply planning and demand sourcing.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Driving manufacturing operations KPIs, including builds, ships, and inventory.
- Working cross-functionally with teams including manufacturing, engineering, BE Customers, program management, and finance.
Key deliverables for this role include volume outlook and sourcing, as well as inventory forecast across various venues.
The preferred candidate will have skillsets in production planning and inventory management, as well as data analysis and problem-solving. Other qualifications include a strong foundation in Supply Chain principles, good presentation skills and experience, and an advanced skillset in Excel.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, Global Supply Chain Management, a STEM-focused MBA program, or a related engineering field with a graduation date between August 2023 - August 2024.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a cross-functional team setting.
- Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain principals, including production planning and inventory management. Professional experience in these areas is preferred but not required.
- Good project management, problem-solving, analytical, and presentation skills are required.
- Advanced Excel skillset required.
- Experience in or exposure to an ERP system is a plus.
- Leadership skillset and aspiration is a plus.
