Who

Truleo is hiring for a Vice President of Engineering who will spearhead and oversee our innovative engineering and technology efforts. You will serve as a member of Truleo’s executive team and demonstrate leadership that ensures our company continually increases and advances the yield, efficiency, and capability of our strategic engineering plans and processes. You will report to the chief technology officer (CTO).

What You’ll Do

• Serve in an executive leadership capacity for all of Truleo’s engineering operations.
• Maintain the overall operation of efficient and informed engineering and product development processes, including budgeting, quality assurance, and strategizing.
• Lead the team that expands and enriches our natural language processing (NLP) technology and the output of NLP models.
• Provide strategic direction to Truleo’s technical teams.
• Serve as strategic advisor to the CTO, CEO, and other company executives on matters pertaining to engineering.
• Partner with key leaders to drive business and operational results related to engineering activities and processes.
• Plan and define processes and metrics to guide the allocation of resources across existing programs and that are in strategic alignment with engineering objectives.
• Ensure engineering configurations are maintained in accordance with Truleo’s compliance obligations.
• Continually provide technical leadership.

Who You Are

• You have a minimum of 10 years of engineering experience.
• You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior engineering role.
• You hold a B.S. degree in engineering.
• You are analytical, growth-driven, organized, influential, and a self-starter with a service-oriented leadership style.
• You are strategically oriented with the know-how to problem-solve under pressure.
• You are proficient in written and oral communication and able to effectively collaborate with peers, subordinates, technical partners, clients, and other internal and external stakeholders.
• You have experience with programming languages and frameworks such as Python, React, and TypeScript, as well as familiarity with AWS and other cloud technologies.
