Position: Lead Carpenter

Location: Total Restoration Solutions, Greater Cincinnati, OH—specializing in fire, wind, and water restoration projects.

Work hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with on-call rotation.


 

Who you are:

  • Over 2 years of carpentry experience with a strong track record of completing projects to high standards. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is highly desired.
  • Strong knowledge of general maintenance with an emphasis on finished carpentry. 
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. 
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing, and climbing for extended periods.
  • Experience in obtaining permits and interacting with building and mortgage inspectors.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills; organized and detail oriented.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and auto insurance.
  • Willingness to undergo a drug and background check if offered the position.


What you’ll do as a Lead Carpenter:

  • Assist the production department with completion of projects. 
  • Order materials and coordinate their delivery or pickup as needed.
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee carpentry work on construction sites.
  • Ensure projects are finished on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Perform exterior and interior maintenance, repairs, construction, and alteration carpentry work for all assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure smooth project flow and timely completion.
  • Maintain and ensure proper use of carpentry tools and equipment.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols on job sites, ensuring all team members follow safety guidelines and regulations. 
  • Communicate with clients as needed to address concerns, provide updates.
