About the role

The Quality Inspector I is responsible for inspecting components and finished products. This position will serve our Eemax Division, located in Waterbury, CT.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform receiving inspection for components and finished goods
  • Maintain accurate inspection logs & calibration records
  • Work closely with quality, operations, engineering, and production line staff to support continuous improvement culture
  • Maintain all inspection records and audits to ensure compliance to standards and procedures
  • Perform product functional testing
  • Other tasks as assigned

 

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, and 0-2 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of inspection tools, measurement methods and practices. Inspection tools include caliper, vernier, micrometer, height gages, CMM, optical comparator, pin and thread gages, and torque test gages.
  • Experience in blueprint reading
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Collaborative team player
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Good computer skills (Excel, Word)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standard, a plus
  • Comfortable sitting, standing or walking for long periods of time
