Accounting and Info Systems - Assistant Professor

Sacred Heart University's Accounting & Information Systems Department invites applications for a tenure-track position in the Jack Welch College of Business & Technology for the academic year 2025-2026. Qualified individuals in all specialty areas of accounting will be considered.

Candidates must have, or be near completion of, a doctoral degree in Accounting from an AACSB-accredited school of business. Professional certification in accounting is preferred. Candidates must have a strong commitment to teaching, using technology and analytics tools in the classroom, scholarly research, and service to the Department, College and University. The appointment requires flexibility in teaching day, evening, and weekend courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Responsibilities:
• Teaching including undergraduate and graduate-level courses
• Academic and career advising of accounting students
• Developing an active research agenda
• Providing service to the Department, College and University
• Providing departmental representation at on-campus events

About the Jack Welch College of Business & Technology
SHU’s Jack Welch College of Business & Technology is AACSB-accredited and enrolls over 2,000 students. It is housed on SHU’s West Campus, approximately one mile from the main campus. Opened in the Fall 2019, in the former world headquarters of General Electric, the west campus is focused on digital innovation and how it is transforming business in the 21st century.
