About the Role:
Boston Scientific is seeking a Business Continuity Program Manager to collaborate with the Magellan Advance Team and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) team in ensuring seamless business operations, optimizing processes, and supporting the deployment of SAP S4 within the Magellan program. Magellan is Boston Scientific’s largest technology and business transformation program in two decades, transitioning the company’s ERP system from SAP ECC to SAP S4 HANA. This global initiative simplifies, standardizes, and modernizes core business processes, positioning the company for future growth. In this role, you will focus on identifying and mitigating business continuity risks, guiding risk assessments, and uncovering opportunities for process improvements, all while maintaining a strong control environment. The ideal candidate will leverage their finance expertise, leadership skills, and collaborative mindset to drive business process continuity across global deployments.

 

Work Mode:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business partners to conduct risk assessments, identifying and addressing risks across end-to-end processes.
  • Develop and refine “As-Is” and “To-Be” process maps, including interim processes required until Magellan deployment is complete.
  • Identify unique or site-specific processes, systems, or technologies that require early solutioning to enable efficient deployment.
  • Partner with business units to ensure mitigation and contingency plans are developed and effectively implemented.
  • Align process improvement opportunities with Magellan-enabled capabilities to enhance standardization and efficiency.
  • Provide finance expertise to support Business Continuity Planning (BCP) activities and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Promote and support the use of technology and automation tools, such as process mapping, modeling, and mining, to improve business continuity efforts.
  • Foster collaboration across teams and functions to drive the adoption of harmonized and standardized processes, sharing best practices to accelerate implementation.
  • Monitor and manage potential collisions with other ongoing programs, collaborating with teams to develop and execute conflict-avoidance plans.
  • Serve as a consultant and liaison between the Magellan program and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on objectives.
  • Demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by adhering to the Quality Policy and all documented quality processes and procedures.
  • Ensure appropriate resources are maintained to support Quality System compliance and uphold a work environment aligned with the Quality Policy.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and support to team members, fostering their development and contributing to project success.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Industrial and Systems Engineering, or other relevant field.
