About the role

Overview

FWI is building a team to provide comprehensive grants management support services to the Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA) Cooperative Agreements and Non-State Grant Awards Division (HACG-30). As Program Manager, you will provide oversight and leadership for the contract, ensuring quality deliverables and managing a team of grants management professionals who support the full lifecycle of competitive grants and cooperative agreements for highway-related projects nationwide.

**Position is contingent upon contract award**

 

Work Schedule and Location:

Remote: This part-time remote position will work approximately 18-20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all contract-related matters, including task order modifications and performance issues
  • Lead and manage a team of grants management analysts, ensuring quality deliverables and timely completion of all requirements
  • Monitor staff workload, performance, and professional development to meet client expectations
  • Prepare and submit monthly progress reports and status reports to government leadership
  • Coordinate staffing needs including scheduling, onboarding, and personnel actions
  • Communicate regularly with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and HACG-30 Team Leader on contract activities, progress, and issue resolution

 

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Bachelor's degree in a business field
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience successfully managing several direct reports
  • Minimum of ten (10) years' experience with direct and relatable competitive grants
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, writing, and customer service skills
  • Strong leadership skills, including personnel management and project/task management
