Software Engineer III

The Software Engineer III is responsible for design, development, documentation, and testing of commercial software programs for WellSky.

A day in the life!​

You will be responsible for the following:​

• Owning and delivering complete features, including design, architecture, implementation, testability, debugging, and shipping while working in a team environment
• Working largely in Vue 3, CSS3, HTML5, JavaScript, Nodejs, Bootstrap, and AG Grid with a C# and Visual Basic backend using Microsoft SQL Server
• Very strong interpersonal and written communication skills required as this role has mostly remote teammates and a high dependency for growth through collaboration
• Collaborating and coordinating across multiple teams and stakeholders and solving complex problems that allow for innovative features across all our platforms. 
• Participating in a culture of being agile, innovative, team-oriented and customer-focused
• Familiar with VSCode or Visual Studio and GitHub development best practices as well as GitHub Copilot for AI assisted development and unit test creation
• Performing all commercial software development duties, including but not limited to technical design, coding, and unit testing so that high quality commercial software releases are delivered to clients in a predictable and consistent schedule according to WellSky development processes
• Collaborating with solution team(s) to define requirements, conducting analysis, and solving problems
• Preparing technical documentation, conducting, and participating in code reviews to ensure that commercial software code meets internal standards and follows industry best practices and the highest quality
• Offering technical direction and guidance to other development team members and assisting in managing development environments as well as installing and configuring commercial solutions
• Delivering solutions that follow best practices and established design patterns
• Emphasis on high quality and predictable results

Do you have what it takes?​

Required Qualifications:​

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant work experience
• 2-4 years related work experience with .NET/.NET Core, Vue3, JavaScript, SQL Server

Preferred Qualifications:​

• Familiarity with Healthcare, specifically in long-term care, a plus!

• Healthcare industry experience
