Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Poker Host greets customers as they enter the room, assist them in seating, and obtaining their chips to play. You will report to the Poker Shift Manager/Poker Floorman.

$17.00/HR | Part-Time | Hours Variable

Primary Tasks:

1.       You will promote guest relations by acknowledging and welcoming guests.

2.       Enroll new guests in the player’s club system.  Assist guests to obtain new and replacement cards.

3.       Provide excellent guest service by providing answers to customer or public inquiries regarding general gaming procedures and payouts.

4.       Help maintain poker dealer table banks (trays) and the appearance of the card room.

5.       You will direct customers to their table and assist supervisors with starting and maintaining games.

6.       Keep accurate records of monetary exchanges, authorization forms, and transaction reconciliations.

7.       Notify Supervisor immediately and discretely of suspicious activity.

8.       Exchange money, credit, chips, and tickets.

9.      You will ensure all paperwork must be signed and dated.

10.     Perform other duties as may be assigned.

 

Requirements:

·         Experience in handling large volumes of cash.

·         Apply basic math (arithmetic, ratios, proportions or conversions).

·         Need to have some knowledge of poker and procedures.

·         Prior experience in direct customer contact.
