Wright Public Entity serves as a management company providing claims administration, risk management & loss control, underwriting & marketing, and client services in New York. We also act as a TPA for Workers Compensation for various self-insured schools & municipalities in New York.
The Medical Director position will assist in the coordination of care, authorization and treatment and equipment and the overall disability management on cases of significant nature that are assigned by the Managers. The Medical Director will handle PAR request made by the treating physicians.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate with the adjuster the disability management of a file.
Obtain periodic updates on medical condition and treatment on assigned cases
Address any Workers’ Compensation PAR2 requests.
Coordinate the bill of PAR requests to the file.
Report to clients any significant developments in the file.
Assist adjusters on complex claims on disability management
Competencies:
Must be able to prioritize and plan work
Must be able to speak clearly and discuss issues with clients and adjusters
Must keep current on new Workers’ Compensation regulations and the NYS Medical Treatment Guidelines.
Must maintain the proper levels of HIPAA compliance when applicable.
Qualifications:
Proficient with MS Office Exceptional telephone demeanor
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
5+ years’ experience as a doctor
Must be a licensed Physician in NYS.

Salary Range: $150,000 - $195,000
