Software Development Director

The Oracle Functions platform is a serverless platform in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. We are in the rapid growth with a large customer base and thereby need strong technical leaders who can drive innovation, collaboration and also own the performance and operational improvement charter of the roadmap. This team offers excellent opportunities too gain expertise in Kubernetes and other systems/networking/security related domains as well as experience growth and customer adoption for a critical developer platform running hundreds of diverse workloads.

 

As a Director or Senior Manager in this team, you will be responsible for setting roadmap goals, collaborating with the product team to gather customer requirements, building and delivering high impact features, as well as driving operational and performance improvements for the platform. You will lead a team of highly talented engineers to deliver impactful business goals for the broader Serverless organization. You will also need to hire, grow, mentor and performance manage the team to ensure their success.

Minimum Qualifications

·BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of experience as a software developer
5+ years of experience as an engineering manager..
Proficient in software development methodology with coding experience in Java.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python and proficient understanding of Continuous Integration and deployment and tools chain like GIT, Maven, Jenkins/Teamcity, etc.
Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, networking, and distributed systems fundamentals.
Systematic problem-solving approach, strong communication skills, a sense of ownership and drive.
Proven experience and knowledge around cloud infrastructure.
Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences
Passionate about leading and developing engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications:

MS in Computer Science
Experience delivering and operating large scale, highly available distributed systems.
Experience building multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure a strong plus.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $122,500 to $291,800 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
