We are looking for a dedicated Mechanical Repair Technician I, also known as a "Water Spider," to join our team. This role is crucial in maintaining and organizing inventory, materials, and equipment within our warehouse and manufacturing environment. If you have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to ensuring smooth production processes, we want you on our team.

What You Will Do:

  • Efficient Item Transport: Move items between storage locations, staging areas, and production lines in an efficient and timely manner to support continuous production.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Assist in keeping work areas clean and organized to ensure a safe and productive environment.
  • Supply Restocking: Monitor and restock supplies as needed to prevent any production delays.
  • Team Communication: Effectively communicate with team members to ensure materials are readily available and meet production demands.
  • Independent Work: Demonstrate the ability to work independently, following written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Physical Capability: Lift and move heavy objects as required to maintain workflow.
  • Attention to Detail: Exhibit strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory management.
  • Problem-Solving: Utilize problem-solving skills to address and resolve any issues related to inventory and material handling.
  • Time Management: Manage time efficiently to balance multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • HS diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Warehouse/Manufacturing Experience: Demonstrated experience in organizing inventory, materials, and equipment in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with inventory management software and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
