The Role

Cedar’s Delivery team is responsible for the end-to-end implementation of Cedar’s product suite. We are seeking a Sr. Group Lead, Implementation to oversee a large portfolio of complex implementations across Cedar’s products and services, to lead our largest, most strategic implementations within this portfolio, and to manage a team of direct reports. 

This senior role is ideal for an experienced people leader with deep healthcare software implementation and revenue cycle management expertise who brings advanced executive communication, consensus building, and risk mitigation skills and who can independently deliver high-quality, on time implementations. 

Responsibilities

  • This is a leadership role (reporting into the Senior Group Lead, Implementation) which includes people management, implementation portfolio oversight, and independent execution of strategic implementations within the portfolio. 
  • Directly accountable for the success of all implementations within assigned portfolio.
  • For assigned accounts, leads all aspects of development and execution of implementation project plans to ensure on-time, on budget, high quality delivery; able to execute independently with limited direction and oversight.  
  • Leads, mentors and develops a team of professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous learning, and psychological safety.
  • Drives team performance and engagement through effective coaching, performance management, and career development, ensuring individual and team success.
  • Cultivates a collaborative and inclusive team environment, empowering individuals to achieve their full potential and contribute meaningfully to organizational goals.
  • Acts as a strategic thought partner/senior liaison between Delivery and Cedar’s Commercial Strategy, Product and Engineering teams in designing, building and deploying creative product solutions to meet client requirements and strategic goals. 
  • In partnership with Cedar’s Solution Architect team, drives the cross-functional development of an integration strategy based on requirements gathered from technical discovery sessions. 
  • Works autonomously and creatively in navigating and overcoming obstacles, removing barriers to success for clients, colleagues and direct reports. 
  • Forms strong and productive working relationships with client counterparts at all levels (operators to executives), driving all workstreams and vendors to achieving mutual goals. 
  • Actively builds and refines tools and processes to improve Cedar implementations that measurably scale the Delivery team. 
  • May require up to 10% travel within the US.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 8-10+ years of experience in a client-facing senior project management, consulting or operations role (or equivalent) within healthcare software/technology implementations.
  • Minimum 3-5+ years of experience managing healthcare software implementations teams, including but not limited to: defining functional mission/metrics/strategy, hiring, new hire onboarding, performance management, resource prioritization, and capacity planning.
  • Comfortable leading a remote team and operating in a fast-paced, high-ownership culture.
  • Experience working with large healthcare systems required; revenue cycle management or equivalent EHR implementation expertise required.
  • Able to prioritize effectively across complex, interdependent workstreams to achieve deadlines.
  • Exceptional communications skills; able to succinctly articulate status and risks to executive stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated collaborative, consultative approach to building lifelong relationships with client executive leaders; advanced ability to maintain trust and rapport, especially during times of conflict or disagreement.
  • Creative and resilient problem-solver; able to proactively anticipate and mitigate risks independently and coach others to do the same.
  • Strong analytical skills; fluency in, for example, Jira, Excel, Looker, Tableau, SalesForce.
