JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State is currently seeking a frontline fundraiser in the role of Director of Arts Advancement to engage alumni and friends as partners in supporting the College of Arts and Architecture. As a member of the College of Arts and Architecture and the Division of Development and Alumni Relations, you can play an integral role in Penn State’s future and contribute to one of the most successful fundraising and alumni relations operations in the country.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Development, College of Arts and Architecture, and working closely with the college’s leadership, as well as other partners and central development offices, this Director of Arts Advancement will:
- Work collaboratively with college leadership, staff, volunteers, and donors to create and implement plans to secure annual gifts and major gifts ($100,000+) specifically for the performing arts, art and design disciplines within the college;
- Articulate Penn State’s needs, ambitions, and values, including diversity, equity, and inclusion, through excellent informal and formal communications, including written proposals;
- Solicit annual giving prospects within the Centre Region with the aim of increasing regional and local annual support;
- Identify and cultivate a pipeline of major gift prospects in the Centre Region for immediate and long-term cultivation;
- Supervise two (2) staff members;
- Build and foster relationships with increasingly diverse internal and external stakeholders;
- Serve as an ambassador for the college and its priorities and values
