Job Duties
Responsible for budget monitoring, review, and control of daily revenue and expenditures. Approves bill payments makes purchase decisions, reviews purchases from subordinate departments, contacts and negotiates with outside vendors. Interacts daily with the County fiscal office and controller on budget and fiscal decisions. Prepares annual operating and capital budgets for the judiciary and negotiates with executive and legislative branches on proper funding of the Courts. Interacts daily with the purchasing department on purchases, delivery schedules, vendor payments and selects equipment and furnishing needs for judicial offices and courtrooms.
Responsible for daily facilities management functions, e.g., repairs and renovations to offices and courtrooms, location of personnel and equipment, parking issues, records retention issues, and assignment of courtrooms.
Negotiates and administers collective bargaining agreements. Administers payroll operations, personnel, and training issues. Assists DCA with developing personnel policies and procedures for the judiciary.
Acts as a point of contact between the judiciary and elected officials as well as members of the executive and legislative branches.
Oversees daily Court Administration office activities, assists jury coordinator with courtroom assignments and jury services, and assists courtroom staff with daily operations.
Maintains strong partnership with the Sheriff’s office, understands & implements standards related to courthouse security, & engages in the development of security policies & procedures.
Develops, in conjunction with the AOPC, a Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP), for the judiciary in the event of disaster or business interruption of court operations, updates and periodically tests the plan.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Judicial, Business, or Public Administration, or a closely related field; AND
Three years of experience in court management or four years of varied office management work including professional-level experience in budgeting, procurement, and human resource management.
An equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training may be considered.
Additional Requirement
Satisfactory criminal background check required.

$63,325 -$86,542
